The Reds beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday evening.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has told Sky Sports that they played their best football of the season so far in the win over Chelsea.
The Reds travelled to London on Friday evening to take on Antonio Conte’s side at Stamford Bridge.
It proved to be a good evening for them as goals from Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson saw them to a 2-1 victory.
It was their third win of the season so far after beating Arsenal and Leicester City already.

Both of those games saw them scoring four goals and playing extremely well but Lovren says the win on Friday was their best of the season so far.
“It is always a tough game here but I thought we did brilliantly,” he told Sky Sports.
“In the first half, I thought it was our best football of the season. It’s always good to score but the most important thing is the three points. The spirit is perfect so we just need to keep working.”

The result now takes Liverpool up to fourth in the table with 10 points from their first five games.
Coupled with the wins over Arsenal and Leicester, two of the top three last season, it could be evidence that they will be title contenders this season.
If that is to be the case, though, they will have to start picking up points against the so-called lesser teams, starting with their next game against Hull City.
