Dejan Lovren has revealed that he’s still best friends with former Liverpool team-mate Mo Salah.

The Croatia international ended his six-year spell at Anfield last summer by leaving to join Zenit in an £11 million deal.

During his time at Liverpool, Lovren struck up a bromance with superstar Mo Salah.

And despite the pair parting ways last summer, the big man has revealed that he remains heavily in contact with the Egypt international.

He told talkSPORT: “I’m still in communication with Mo Salah. We are still the best buddies, even outside football, and we talk about everything.”

Despite losing his best mate, Salah’s form hasn’t slowed down any.

This season, the 28-year-old has netted a brilliant 21 goals in 32 games for Liverpool across all competitions, even if Jurgen Klopp’s side are only going for the top four this season.

Their 4-1 drubbing by Manchester City at Anfield last weekend has put the reigning Premier League champions 10 points behind Pep Guardiola’s troops.

They won’t be winning the title again this year but providing Salah continues scoring, Liverpool, who are fourth, will get the top four.
