Queens Park Rangers’ Leroy Fer was impressed with Georginio Wijnaldum’s performance for Newcastle United against Norwich City in the Premier League.
Peter Lovenkrands has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s stunning win against Norwich City at home on Sunday evening.
Newcastle registered their first victory of the 2015-16 Premier League campaign, as they got the better of Norwich 6-2 at St. James’ Park.
The star of the show for the Magpies was Netherlands international midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored as many as four goals.
Former Newcastle attacker Lovenkrands was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Steve McClaren’s side against the Canaries.
Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer, who played with Wijnaldum at Dutch giants Feyenoord, was stunned with the performance of his Netherlands international teammate.
The win means that Newcastle are now third from bottom in the Premier League table with six points from nine matches.
Next up for the Magpies is a clash against Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light.
