Crystal Palace star Michael Olise ‘impressed’ Garth Crooks against Burnley amid reported transfer interest from Arsenal and Everton, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live (26/02, 15:30).
The Eagles hosted Sean Dyche’s Clarets at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon in a battle of two bottom-half sides. Palace boss Patrick Vieira started Olise from the off in the hopes of seeing the 20-year-old pull the strings in south London and avoid another Burnley draw.
Olise featured as a second-half substitute at Turf Moor earlier in the season as Burnley and Palace drew 3-3. Twelve of the winger’s now 20 Premier League appearances this term so far have come from the bench. Yet the Eagles’ £8m summer signing has thrilled rival clubs.

According to The Sun, Arsenal and Everton are among the clutch of teams tracking Olise’s Crystal Palace displays in view of a transfer. Chelsea – who considered a deal last year before he left Reading – Bayern Munich and Lille also admire the former France U18 ace.
Crooks hails Arsenal, Everton target Olise of Crystal Palace as ‘lovely on the ball’
Olise often plays with confidence for Crystal Palace and can bamboozle defenders to justify transfer interest from Arsenal and Everton. He impressed Crooks early on against Burnley on Saturday, with the ex-Tottenham star hailing his drive to get in the Clarets’ penalty area.
“I am impressed by Michael Olise,” Crooks stated. “He’s lovely on the ball. He gets to the byline and fires the ball into the box. James Tarkowski is trying to play offside on the six-yard box, what is he doing?”

Crystal Palace will be loath to sell Olise to Arsenal or Everton within a year of his transfer from Reading. The London-born dynamo is also under contract at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2026. But serious European interest could put the Eagles’ resolve to the test.
