Mauricio Pochettino has raved about Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min on BBC One (2:40pm, December 2, 2022).
Pochettino worked with South Korea international forward Son at Tottenham.
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss has said that Son was great to work with.
Pochettino made the comments about the 30-year-old ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup match between South Korea and Portugal on Friday afternoon.
Tottenham signed Son from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 for £22 million (The Guardian).
Pochettino has added that he wanted to sign Son for Southampton before the forward moved to Bayer.
Son has scored 96 goals and created 57 big chances in 245 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Pochettino said about Son: “Lovely, lovely, lovely guy, amazing. He is amazing. He is still a young kid, he is so so friendly. Great professional to work (with). He is a special guy, he is really special.”
The Tottenham boss added about signing Son for Southampton: “We wanted to sign him. We met him and his father, but it was impossible because he was still really, really young and he was playing at Hamburg. He wanted to continue in Germany for a few more years.”
World class player
In our view, Son Heung-min is a world-class player and has made Tottenham Hotspur better over the years.
Son is arguably the best South Korean player at the moment and is a hero to his nation.
What is really amazing about Son is that he always plays with a smile on his face and looks like he is having fun on the pitch, even when there is huge pressure.
Not many professional footballers can do that.
