Gabby Agbonlahor has fired shots at Aston Villa’s departing CEO Christian Purslow by stating that it’s ‘good news’.
The former Aston Villa striker claimed on Twitter that Christian Purslow was a ‘star-struck CEO’ and he is someone that ‘loves the camera’.
To the surprise of the Villa supporters, on Monday, the club announced that after five years at the Midlands club, Purslow will be leaving his role as Chief Executive and Director.

This is a major change from Villa upstairs and a clear sign that they are allowing Unai Emery to go down his own road as the club makes a return to Europe.
Alongside Purslow’s exit, there are now suggestions that Sevilla’s transfer brain Monchi is set to become the Premier League giant’s new CEO, as reported by Sky Sports.
Nonetheless, upon reacting to the news that Purslow is out of the door, this is what Agbonlahor posted on his Twitter account: ‘Good news this Monday morning! Star-struck CEO and he loved the camera that guy.’

Purslow has served Villa well, but it’s the right time…
That Steven Gerrard appointment will be that sour taste in the back of Villa fans’ mouths because it could have gone horribly wrong.
If it wasn’t for the club’s owners booting out Gerrard as they hovered above the Premier League’s relegation zone and then bringing in Emery, they would be nowhere near Europe now.
But Purslow did a lot of good things for the club, including picking them up from the mess of nearly entering administration, sitting in an important hot seat as they earned promotion to the Premier League, stabilised themselves and also set them off as they now aim to revamp and refresh Villa Park.
