Alfredo Morelos may not be prolific when it comes to derbies, but it’s rare that he makes it through one without generating headlines.

That was the case again on Saturday as Rangers took a giant step towards the title with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Ibrox.

With tempers flaring late on, Morelos was involved in an altercation with Celtic captain Scott Brown. The Colombian was shown a yellow card, but many felt it should have been his second of the match following an early foul on Jeremie Frimpong.

Brown reacted furiously, and Morelos later shared an image of the confrontation with the caption “WATP”.

Naturally, that went down well with Rangers fans and players alike.

Team-mate Jordan Jones called it “Amazing”, while Bongani Zungu, who came on for Ryan Kent with three minutes remaining, said: “Relax Buff.”

“Love you to bits” said ohitssteely, while darrenmurphyy10 added: “A love you so much wee man.”

“Scott brown holding his face!!! Brilliant!!! WATP!!!!” remarked george_brannigan, with rosshodgson97 hailing “The love of my life”.

It was Morelos who changed the game on 62 minutes, with the 24-year-old being hauled down by Nir Bitton to prevent a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Referee Bobby Madden showed Bitton a red card, and for the remainder of the match Steven Gerrard’s side were on top.

Callum McGregor’s own goal eight minutes later separated the side, and handed Rangers a 19-point lead at the top of the Premiership.
