João Sacramento has taken charge of Tottenham’s pre-match press conference before tomorrow’s Europa League clash with Royal Antwerp, and he’s delivered some exciting news.
Jose Mourinho’s assistant revealed that Gareth Bale will make his second start for Tottenham since returning from Real Madrid.
Spurs’ official site quote him as saying: ‘Tomorrow, Gareth Bale will start. Gareth is improving a lot – in terms of fitness level, his condition is much, much better, he’s feeling better every day and with the interaction that we have with him, he’s feeling very positive and we believe that soon he will be at his top level again.’
Since the Wales international made the romantic return back to north London, he has only been handed one start, which came in the last Europa League game against LASK.
Bale has also played 18 minutes in the Premier League.
With plenty of training under his belt and pieces of game-time here and there, we should see the fittest version of Bale yet since he returned in tomorrow’s game against the Belgian giants.

The 62 minutes he played against LASK should provide Tottenham fans with plenty of excitement ahead of tomorrow’s game.
In just over an hour, WhoScored shows Bale completed three successful dribbles, won four aerial duels and also made a tackle.
Mourinho will presumably be wary of injuring the former Southampton man, so we don’t expect him to play the entire game.

However, even just a glimpse of Bale at the moment is enough to leave plenty of Tottenham fans starry-eyed at seeing their idol back in a Spurs shirt.
Let’s see how the Spurs fans on Twitter reacted to Sacramento’s news…
