Speaking on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel, Troy Deeney has been discussing Callum Wilson and his chequered injury record.
Wilson has just returned from an injury, and he’s absolutely flying since his return, but sadly, that worry of another setback is always lurking in the background.
Indeed, Wilson continuously picks up problems, and Deeney has pinpointed that as one of his main issues.
The Birmingham striker states that he is in fact a big fan of Wilson, but he’s urged the striker to sort his consistent injury issues out.

Deeney’s Wilson plea
The pundit told the Newcastle star to get his injury record in line.
“He’s got Callum playing well, he has Isak, Callum’s hamstrings are made of class aren’t they, I love you Cal, but sort them out, you have cheese strings instead of hamstrings,” Deeney said.
Frustrating
Ultimately, it’s utterly frustrating when a player like this can’t stay fit.
Wilson has the talent, attitude and application to genuinely be one of the Premier League’s top strikers, but his body lets him down way too often.
In another world, Wilson is a shoe-in for a spot at this winter’s World Cup, and while Gareth Southgate may still call upon the Newcastle man, his place on the plane isn’t as secure as it should be due to his injury problems.
However, he’s currently fit and banging in the goals, and hopefully, this will be the final time we have to discuss any injury issues for Wilson.
Fingers crossed the striker can show us what he’s all about for the remainder of this season, because when he’s at his best, he’s unplayable.
