Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Theo Walcott has been discussing reported Tottenham target Adama Traore.
The England international was tasked with reviewing some of the fastest players in the Premier League – due to the fact Walcott himself was world-renowned for his pace back in the day.
Traore is the league’s chief speedster these days, and Walcott stated that he’s an incredible athlete, claiming that he’s a player he absolutely loves to watch.
What’s been said?
Walcott spoke about Traore.
“I remember him facing me up a couple of seasons ago and he didn’t go past me because he respects the fact we’ve both got a bit of pace. Look at the size of him compared to me, he’s an incredible athlete and I love watching him play,” Walcott said.
One of a kind
Walcott is absolutely right about Traore, he’s an incredibly, one-of-a-kind athlete.
Yes, he’s not the most technically polished footballer in the world, but he’s a unique kind of weapon that many clubs could do with.
For some reason, the Spaniard is out of favour at Wolves, and according to some reports, Fabio Paratici at Tottenham is a huge fan of the winger.
Traore could work very well in this Antonio Conte side. He’s got all the physical attributes needed to be an absolutely brilliant wing-back in this team, and if Conte can just fine tune some of the winger’s rougher edges, Spurs would have a really useful asset on their hands here.
Whether or not a transfer comes to fruition for Traore remains to be seen, but with Tottenham and Chelsea linked, it looks as though the speedster could be on the move before deadline day.
