Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing what Rangers have tweeted ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash with Slavia Prague.
The Gers posted a photo of their former manager Bill Struth stood alongside ex-Arsenal boss Herbert Chapman in 1933.
Rangers also posted a video of Mikel Arteta scoring from the penalty spot against Dundee United in August 2003.
On the day of Arsenal’s Europa League quarter-final tie, the timing of these tweets is interesting.
We believe this show of solidarity with the Gunners has something to do with Glen Kamara.
Of course, the Finland international was allegedly the subject of racial abuse from Slavia Prague’s Ondřej Kúdela in the Round of 16 tie at Ibrox.
UEFA are currently investigating the matter. Kamara is also being investigated amid claims he assaulted the 34-year-old in the tunnel after full-time.
Kamara played for Arsenal from 2012 to 2017, so it seems as if Rangers and the north Londoners have united against Slavia Prague in defence of the 25-year-old.
With just hours to go until Arsenal’s biggest game of the campaign so far, it seems as if the Gunners fans loved what the Scottish Premiership champions put on Twitter.
