Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after Charlie Cresswell signed a new deal with the club.
The young defender has put pen to paper on terms that will keep him at the club until 2025.
Leeds have a plethora of young centre-backs at the club, and they’ve let a number of their U23 stars in that position leave in recent years, with the likes of Oliver Casey and Aapo Halme being moved on, but it seems as though they have bigger plans for Cresswell.
A contract until 2025 is a serious commitment from Leeds, and to be honest, Cresswell has earned it.
The defender captained the Whites’ U23 side to the PL2 Division 2 title last term, and after appearing on the bench against Everton at the weekend, you have to imagine he may get a few first-team chances this term.
The 19-year-old still has a lot of room to grow and develop, and it’s fair to say the fanbase are very excited about his future.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying about this news…
