Stuart Dallas has expressed his delight on his Instagram story at Leeds United trio Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville all signing new contracts.

The Leeds left-back wasn’t the only one reacting to that news, with midfielder Adam Forshaw adding on his own Instagram story that ‘the future is bright’.

On Tuesday, the Yorkshire side announced that three of their top talents have penned down new ‘long-term’ contracts at the Premier League club, as they posted on Instagram.

It’s positive news for the Yorkshire faithful heading into the new Premier League season, with Gelhardt perhaps expected to play the most important role out of the lot.

The explosive forward, 20, could argue that he should be starting Premier League games for Jesse Marsch because he certainly impressed last season.

Nonetheless, when the news about the trio’s new deals broke, both Forshaw and Dallas sent the following messages from their social media accounts.

“The future is bright,” said Forshaw. “Congrats lad.” Dallas then added: “Love it, lads.”

WILL LEEDS CONCLUDE ANYMORE TRANSFER DEALS?

The new Premier League season is upon us and Leeds will begin life without Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips for the first time since they returned to top-flight.

Seven players have been brought in by Marsch, but perhaps more is needed before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.

Leeds begin their Premier League campaign with a home tie against Wolves and it will be interesting to see how they perform during the first few weeks.

If they struggle, as some are tipping them to do, then that might force the club to dip further in their pockets and bulk up their squad.

One issue that Marcelo Bielsa and Marsch faced last season was constant injuries to players, which didn’t allow them to have any rhythm, that’s where fans will be hoping for some more luck because they are going to need it.
