Jermaine Jenas has praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli on Twitter.
The former Tottenham midfielder, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was impressed by the way Alli decided to take the spot kick against LASK on Thursday evening.
Spurs played out a 3-3 draw with LASK away from home in the Europa League last night.
The Premier League club earned a penalty with five minutes left on the clock, and Alli stepped up to take it.
The England international, who has struggled for playing time at Spurs so far this season, had come on as a substitute in the 82nd minute.
Jeans was impressed by the character shown by Alli in taking the penalty and has praised him on Twitter.
Strength of character
Alli is a very strong character who is quite a good footballer as well, and the way he took his penalty shows that he remains a player who has full confidence in himself.
The 24-year-old has played just 67 minutes in the Premier League and has played 164 minutes in the Europa League for Jose Mourinho’s side so far this season, according to WhoScored.
