Liverpool have announced that Tyler Morton has signed a new long-term contract.
Still only 20, Morton is among the latest crop of Kirkby starlets who has already made his senior debut under Jurgen Klopp.
Back in 2021, the midfielder played against Norwich City in the League Cup and later made a Premier League debut against Arsenal.
This season, Liverpool loaned him to Blackburn Rovers for the sake of experience but it’s clear that he’s an exciting player.
Here’s how he reacted to the news on Instagram this afternoon:

Andy Robertson was among his Liverpool colleagues to respond to Morton on social media.
The Reds’ left-back wrote: “Love it son, new shoes?”.
Harvey Elliott, who is younger than Morton, also weighed in and wrote: “Deserve it bro” followed by a love heart emoji.
Elliott knows the value of a year in a lower league.
This time two seasons ago, it was Elliott on loan at Blackburn and given that he’s a prominent part of Klopp’s senior squad at Liverpool now, you could argue he is a perfect example as to how the loan system works.
And frighteningly, Elliott is still only 19.
There’s no guarantee that Morton will be ripping up the Premier League at Liverpool next season or beyond, but he’s a big prospect and this contract reiterates his standing within the club.
