Liverpool are Louis van Gaal’s tip for the Champions League.

Louis van Gaal has told BBC Sport he views Liverpool as the most complete team left in the Champions League.
Van Gaal believes the Reds are even better than Barcelona, who they could meet in the semi-finals.
The Dutchman does not include his former club Manchester United as holding a strong chance.
Asked about the eight quarter finalists, Van Gaal said: “People think Barcelona are the best but they are not. Manchester City and Liverpool are more of a team than Barcelona – and Liverpool are more of a team than City.”
Van Gaal added however that he hopes another Premier League side win it.

He said: “In my philosophy the best team shall win but I hope for City because they play the best football.”
Liverpool face Porto in the quarter-finals and then the winner of Barcelona and Manchester United.
City have two legs against Tottenham Hotspur to negotiate and if successful, Ajax or Juventus in the semi finals.
Van Gaal managed Manchester United between 2014 and 2016 before being replaced by Jose Mourinho, and won one FA Cup.
