Wayne Rooney is fit for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Southampton, but Angel di Maria is out.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that forward Wayne Rooney is available for selection against Southampton on Monday.
The England international has been suffering with a knee problem lately, but he has been passed fit to feature against the Saints at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The return to full fitness of captain Rooney will be a huge boost to United, who are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 25 points from 14 matches, just a point and a place behind Southampton.
However, £59.7 million summer signing Angel di Maria has not recovered from a hamstring injury and will not play any part in Monday’s match.
