Manchester City pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title.

Liverpool are celebrating their sixth Champions League win after victory in the final at the weekend.
Now attention must turn to finally winning the Premier League and ending a near 30 year wait for a title.
The Reds were pipped by a single point in the league this season by Manchester City.
Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been weighing in with his view on what makes City slightly better than Liverpool.
In an interview with The Guardian, Van Gaal gave his tactical analysis of the difference between the two teams.
He said: “When Liverpool have to attack constantly, they have a problem, more a problem than, for example, Manchester City.
“Because Salah, Firmino and Mané need a bigger space than Agüero, Sané and Sterling and also the creativity in City’s midfield is higher with De Bruyne, David Silva, Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva – they can play in a small space. That’s why City are the champions.”

Liverpool will feel they were simply unlucky to have been pipped to the title by City.
Nonetheless, attack is an area they can still strengthen, with no like for like replacement signed for Coutinho since his 2018 departure.
Liverpool haven’t missed him, but they can still improve by adding a player in his position and becoming even more dangerous.
