Braga star Palhinha admits that he is in the dark over his future amid speculation that Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks to bring the hard-working midfielder to Molineux, while speaking to Estadio Deportivo.
Back in the summer of 2003, Manchester United moved heaven and earth to bring a high-kicking, high-stepping 17-year-old with a mess of dyed blonde locks to Old Trafford after one staggering pre-season performance which left Gary Neville and co awestruck.
While the situation is not exactly identical, Wolves appear to find themselves in a somewhat similar scenario heading into the off-season.
Palhinha certainly caught the eye with his tenacious, ball-winning style as Braga took on Nuno Espirito Santo’s side twice in the Europa League group stages in the first half of this season.
So much so that, according to O Jogo, Wolves have now held negotiations as they look to bring another Portuguese talent to an already Iberian-influenced squad.

Agreeing a deal may be easier said than done, however. £13 million-rated Palhinha is actually owned by Sporting Lisbon and Wolves will have a hard task discussing a deal with a club who dragged Manchester United over the coals for Bruno Fernandes’s signature.
“There has been a lot of speculation and I don’t even know what my future will be,” the 24-year-old says.
“When the season ends, I’ll see what happens.”
Estadio Deportivo points out that Real Betis are interested too, although a move to the Premier League is most likely right now. Could Palhinha replace the exit-linked Leander Dendoncker at Molineux?
