Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has spoken highly of goalkeeper Illan Meslier, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Bielsa has said that Meslier is a goalkeeper who has a lot of personalty.
The Leeds boss has added that the French youngster also makes important decisions at the back and gives security to the defence.
Praise for Leeds goalkeeper Meslier
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Meslier: “He is a goalkeeper with a lot of personality. He is a goalkeeper who transmits security.
“He has weight with decisive interventions. There are interventions that have a goal in our favour. He has resolved these types of action.”

Big player for Leeds United
Meslier is just 21, but he has already established himself as the number one between the posts for Leeds.
In fact, the Frenchman has been so good for Leeds that the club decided to offload former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
Now, of course, like all footballers and goalkeepers, Meslier makes mistakes.
But, the young goalkeeper hardly makes a howler or gives away an easy goal.
Meslier is very good at stopping shots, commands his area well, and is good with his feet.
In our view, Meslier is a gem and could become even better for Leeds in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Bielsa has said that Pascal Struijk is fit to play against Brentford on Sunday.
Leeds will take on Brentford at Elland Road in the Premier League.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Struijk: “We think he will be available for the game on Sunday. He has a knock around his hip, but we think he will be available.”
