Chris Waddle feels reported Arsenal transfer target Marcus Rashford is among a few stars who ‘don’t want to be’ Manchester United players anymore, he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Rashford again cut a lacklustre figure in the Old Trafford attack as Atletico Madrid dumped the Red Devils out of the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday. Ralf Rangnick brought the England forward on in the 67th-minute, but he failed to inspire a response from 1-0 down.
The 24-year-old’s introduction had a detrimental effect on United’s forays into Atleti’s half as he conceded possession in good positions. Rangnick asked Rashford to play wide to help stretch their La Liga opposition to find a reply, yet also struggled to get on the ball enough.

Rashford has now amassed 26 appearances across all competitions so far this term for five goals and two assists. He has not found the net since hitting the Red Devils’ winner against West Ham on January 22. With Atleti’s visit to Old Trafford marking nine goalless outings.
According to the Mirror, Rashford accepts his form has not been up to scratch, yet United value him at £70m. They also intend to trigger a one-year contract extension option to lock the 46-cap Three Lions forward down to 2024. A call intended to at least protect his value.
Interest from Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Newcastle and West Ham, per 90min, may also aid Manchester United’s view on a possible transfer for Rashford. He is becoming increasingly frustrated under Rangnick and is growing concerned over his lack of minutes this season.

Waddle feels Arsenal target Rashford doesn’t ‘want to be’ at Man Utd anymore
Atletico Madrid may change their mind after seeing Arsenal target Rashford up close in the Champions League for Manchester United. With ex-England winger Waddle questioning if the £200k-a-week forward wants to be a Red Devils player, given his efforts in midweek.
“The players have been here too long, a lot of them,” Waddle said. “They used to have a great production line of kids, people like Marcus Rashford look like they don’t want to be here. He has definitely lost something.”
