Would West Ham be too hasty selling Javier Hernandez as Los Angeles FC show interest?

Los Angeles FC are understood to be interested in Hernandez, who has scored four goals in 21 games for the Hammers since joining the club over the summer.

West Ham would want to recoup the money they spent on the Mexico international and with Diafra Sakho also linked with an exit from the London Stadium, may also want to sign a replacement before letting both forwards go.
Yet despite Hernandez’s indifferent form since coming back to the Premier League, have the East Londoners given the Mexico international enough time?
Javier Hernandez of West Ham United celebrates scoring his side’s first goal during the Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
Before being signed from Leverkusen by Slaven Bilic, the 29-year-old had scored 185 times in 444 appearances for club and country at a rate of a goal every 2.4 games. For a first team career that is now in its 12th season, those are decent statistics.
At that rate Hernandez should already have at least eight strikes for his new team, but the stats also suggest that David Moyes may struggle to find a new attacker who can match the Mexican’s record and perhaps needs to work out a way to utilise him better rather than selling.
