The goalkeeper joined Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has told the club’s official website that he thinks manager Jurgen Klopp brought him to the club as he fits in with his style of play.
The goalkeeper was one of the first new players to arrive at Anfield this summer as he completed a move from Bundesliga side Mainz.
He has been brought in to add serious competition to current number one Simon Mignolet, who once again came in for criticism last season.

Karius though believes the principle reason that Klopp brought him in is because he believes he fits into the Reds’ style of play.
“Probably the reason I am here is because the manager thinks I’ll fit into the style of play,” he told the club’s official website.
“I’ve also seen a lot of the Premier League before – it’s a high level, but I think it’s the same in Germany so I don’t think I am going to be surprised about anything.”

It will be interesting to see which goalkeeper Klopp goes with once Karius has returned from his injury.
It is fair to say that Mignolet has struggled to earn the faith of the fans during his time at the club, with several high profile mistakes having seen him deemed not good enough.
It would not be surprising to see Karius handed an immediate starting place as a result, although the new deal handed to Mignolet earlier this year muddies the waters somewhat.
