Championship duo Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion both offered £9.2m for Loren Moron – he can’t stop scoring now in La Liga for Real Betis.

No one has scored more La Liga goals than Loren Moron in the first five weeks of the new season.

As it stands, Real Betis’s number 16 is sitting pretty at the front of the Golden Boot chase alongside Karim Benzema and Gerard Moreno with five goals in as many games. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, consider this; Loren has found the net with every one of his shots on target this season.

His conversation rate, therefore, stands at a staggering 50 per cent with the Spaniard firing Betis past Levante on Tuesday night thanks to a pair of close-range tap ins.

Loren’s staggering form might have come as a surprise to many, but not Sheffield United. The Blades obviously saw something special in the former Marbella FC frontman and, according to Univision, they made a big bid for his services over the summer.

Mundo Deportivo, meanwhile, claims that West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City both saw £9.2 million offers come to nothing in the final days of the transfer window. Loren, it seems, wasn’t keen on playing in England’s second tier.

The Baggies instead have been forced to rely on Kenneth Zohore, who is yet to score from open play this season, while Charlie Austin has failed to live up to his brilliant track record in the Championship with no goals in five games so far.

As for Cardiff, well no one in Neil Warnock’s side has more than two to their name in 2019/20. Paul Glatzel, the marquee summer signing, has one and even that came from the penalty spot.

With Loren putting away chances like a world class number nine right now, Cardiff and West Brom must be praying that his remarkable run of form doesn’t carry on.
