Former Tottenham chairman commented as the team lost to Monaco.
General view of the action
Tottenham suffered a surprise defeat to Monaco as they were beaten 2-1 at Wembley.
They conceded twice in the first half before pulling one back through Toby Alderweireld, but could not come close to scoring again in the second half.

It was frustrating for Spurs, playing in front of 80,000 fans, and having an ideal chance to lay down a marker in what promises to be a very open Champions League group.
Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar commented on Twitter, joking that he preferred the Europa League anyway.
Sugar also gave his opinion on Harry Kane, observing that the striker did not play well in the 2-1 defeat.
Kane knows all about playing with England at Wembley, but was unable to make an impact. He had four shots at goal but only one landed on target.
He also completed a below par 74 per cent of his passes, and needs to do more to rediscover his golden touch of last season, having scored just once so far this campaign.
