Tottenham Hotspur came from a goal down to hammer Southampton 5-2 at St Mary’s Stadium this afternoon.
Spurs fell behind on the South Coast as Danny Ings smashed the hosts in front, leaving Tottenham fans fearing another defeat.
However, Son Heung-min pulled Spurs level before the break, and he ran riot in the second half, scoring a hat-trick to take his tally for the game to four goals.
Harry Kane, who picked up assists for all four of Son’s goals, then got in on the act with the fifth, with Ings’ late penalty little more than a consolation.
Tottenham fans will hope that this result sparks some consistency, especially with Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale now signed up.
After making those two signings, Jose Mourinho has now told Goal that he thinks he has too many players at Tottenham, which is why Dele Alli wasn’t even in the squad today.

Mourinho may hope to offload some fringe players like Juan Foyth and Danny Rose to clear the decks, and Lord Sugar managed to have a laugh at his comments.
Former Spurs chairman Sugar took to Twitter to claim Mourinho’s comments were ‘comedy’, as every Tottenham manager he hired wanted three more players rather than wanting to sell some.
