Despite some impressive strides this season, it’s a tough time for West Ham.

The Hammers end the season watching three top London clubs competing for European silverware.

Tottenham are in the Champions League final, while Arsenal and Chelsea contest the Europa League.

West Ham are like the kid who didn’t get invited to the party.

Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar saw the funny side, posting a message on Twitter mocking West Ham.

The one event West Ham fans are truly desperate to avoid is Tottenham winning the Champions League.

But the Hammers must use this as motivation. At risk of being left behind, the board need to invest, and give the club the best possible chance of catching their rivals.
