The former Tottenham Hotspur figures reacted to Arsenal’s defeat at Stoke City.

Arsenal slumped to a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Stoke City at the Bet 365 Stadium this evening.

Jese struck early in the second half to give the hosts all three points on another disappointing day for the Gunners away at the Potteries.

Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal’s £52 million man, looked to have a legitimate goal chalked off for offside, but beyond that Arsene Wenger’s side can’t have much complaint.

They simply didn’t do enough to win the match and Tottenham Hotspur legend Micky Hazard reminded his Twitter followers where his allegiances lie with a tongue-in-cheek post on social media immediately after the result.

Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar, meanwhile, said that the North Londoners were “cheated” on the basis that Lacazette’s goal was ruled out.

Few Arsenal fans can claim to be surprised.

Not only do the Gunners have a less-than-impressive record at Stoke over the past decade or so, Wenger’s side scraped a 4-3 win over Leicester City in their Premier League opener last weekend.

You could argue a defeat like this was coming.
