Tottenham Hotspur sold the 27-year-old to the Swans back in 2014.
Lord Sugar has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur made a “big mistake” in selling Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The Iceland international was sold by Tottenham in 2014 ahead of the Mauricio Pochettino’s first season as manager.
He had spent the previous two years at Spurs and netted eight times in 58 Premier League outings for the North London outfit.

Sigurdsson returned to White Hart Lane with the South-Welsh outfit this past weekend but it was not a happy reunion as the visitors lost 5-0.
But former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar appeared to be impressed by the 27-year-old’s contribution, claiming on Twitter that it was an error to let him go.

He has been in fine form this season, however, and had scored four and set up four in the 13 top-flight matches before Saturday’s rout in North London.
Pochettino raved about him last week, noting he was the “perfect player for us” but The Guardian reported that the decision to sell Sigurdsson was taken by the club’s board and not the manager himself.
