Lord Sugar has criticised Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier on Twitter for his role in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The former Tottenham chairman was not impressed with Dier for struggling against United midfielder Paul Pogba.
In the 80th minute of the Premier League game between Tottenham and United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday evening, Pogba weaved past Dier being brought down by the England international – who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder – inside the box.
Bruno Fernandes made no mistake from the resulting penalty, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Lord Sugar was following the match, and he was not impressed with Dier, but former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has asked whether there was enough contact for Pogba to go down.
The result will come as a disappointment for Tottenham, who were aiming for all three points in their quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Jose Mourinho’s side are back in action on Tuesday evening when they take on West Ham United at home in the league.
