Tottenham Hotspur suffered a blow in their quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, as they failed to win against Southampton at the weekend.

Southampton are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Spurs were expected to pick up all three points from the match against the Saints at St. Mary’s Stadium in the league on Sunday afternoon.

However, the North London outfit had to settle for a 1-1 draw, and actually had to come from behind to earn a point.

Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar was following the match, and he was not impressed with manager Mauricio Pochettino’s substitutions.

Lord Sugar was not pleased that Pochettino brought Erik Lamela on in place of Son Heung-min instead of in the place of Moussa Sissoko.

The draw with Southampton means that Tottenham are now fifth in the Premier League table with 45 points from 24 matches, two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
