Former Tottenham chairman hits back at pundit.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher forecast a grim picture of Tottenham’s prospects if they do not start spending money.
Speaking to Sky’s Monday Night Football, Carragher said: “Tottenham will not get better, if this does not change.
“In five (to) 10 years time, this team will break up, the manager will leave, and nobody will be going back looking at net spend.”
Carragher went on to criticise chairman Daniel Levy, for failing his manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar stood up for Levy, and criticised ex-Liverpool star Carragher via Twitter.
Sugar isn’t wrong that Tottenham have done well, the problem is they have just fallen short of winning silverware.
A poor start in this year’s Champions League has demonstrated Tottenham’s shortcomings again, and it would actually register as a surprise if they broke their trophy drought this season.
Tottenham’s lack of summer signings was unprecedented, and it’s clear they got that wrong.
Providing they are prepared to acknowledge their error, January could be a busy month, and a chance for the board to get fans and the manager back onside.
