Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was announced that Robin Koch had been named in Germany’s EURO 2020 squad.
The 24-year-old had barely featured for his country before making his £13 million move to Elland Road back in August.
Now, Koch has amassed seven caps for Germany, and is clearly regarded as one of the best the nation has to offer.
This is fantastic news for both Leeds and their No.5.
After Liam Cooper was also included in Scotland’s EURO 2020 squad, Leeds will have a handful of representatives on the global stage this summer.
Add in the likes of Kalvin Phillips, who should make Gareth Southgate’s squad, and the Whites have really gone up a gear.
Mateusz Klich and Ezgjan Alioski should also be representing Poland and North Macedonia respectively.

Gone are the days of average Championship players – Leeds now have a squad full of top class internationals.
In Koch’s case, this is a big chance for the £46,154-a-week man to win his first piece of silverware.
Germany are, as always, among the favourites to win this competition, given the quality of those in their squad.

In that respect, Koch has a great chance of bringing a EURO 2020 winners medal back to Yorkshire.
That would be great news for him, and also great for Leeds to have a player whose confidence would surely be sky high.
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about Koch’s call-up…
