Everton fans believe that Ben Godfrey could be an option to play in defensive midfield for them.
Godfrey was brought to Everton from Norwich City in a deal worth £25 million (BBC Sport) this summer to tighten up their defence.
However, the Toffees have a rather settled backline at the moment.
And Everton fans feel that using Godfrey in defensive midfield could now be an option.
Godfrey has played in defensive midfield before with both Norwich City and Shrewsbury Town, but it would be a big test for him if Everton were to position him there.
It has now been years since Godfrey played in midfield, so the transition for him could be a difficult one.
Everton may need more midfield options though, as not all of their players in the position have fully convinced.
Both Andre Gomes and Gylfi Sigurdsson have been criticised at times this season, and there is a feeling that Everton could still do with bolstering their options in the area, despite the additions of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure over the summer.
