Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are excited by a development regarding Mateusz Musialowski.
On Friday, Liverpool named the list of players that’ll report for Jurgen Klopp’s pre-season training on Monday.
And although 90 percent of the names were senior players, there were a number of young stars also included – and Musialowski was among them.
The 17-year-old Pole had a blistering first season on Merseyside last term, helping the Reds’ Under-18 side to the final of the FA Youth Cup, where they were defeated by Aston Villa.
And it looks as if his promise at youth level hasn’t escaped Klopp’s attention, with Musialowski – who has been likened to Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard – earning a promotion as far as pre-season goes.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to that news on Twitter:
Debut?
Let’s not rule out a senior, non-competitive debut for the youngster either.
Liverpool haven’t confirmed their warm-up games during their tour of Austria as of yet but it’s very probable that Musialowski will be involved in whoever Klopp’s side wind up playing.
It would be brilliant if the lad does enough to earn a loan away from Merseyside next season.
Yes he’s only 17, but so was Harvey Elliott when he joined Blackburn Rovers and tore the Championship a new one last term.
If you’re good enough, you’re old enough, and it’ll be fascinating to see what Musialowski does during the pre-season preparations.
