Some Newcastle United fans on Twitter seem open to the idea of signing Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

The Magpies are reportedly in the market for somebody of the Frenchman’s ilk.

And Sky Sports News reported on Saturday evening that Newcastle have asked Celtic about bringing him to St James’s Park on a half-season loan.

Ntcham, who began his professional career with Manchester City, only has 18 months left on his contract in Glasgow and therefore the Magpies wouldn’t have to break the bank to get him.

Here’s how some Newcastle supporters reacted to signing the Celtic star.

Ntcham is one of the more talented players in Neil Lennon’s squad.

But he’s seemingly been a difficult player to manage and has often angled for a move away from Parkhead, most recently in October.

Back in the summer of 2019, the Celtic man revealed publicly that he wanted a move to Marseille, claiming it was ‘the best solution for his development’.

In other words, if he would’ve accepted a move to Ligue 1 then surely a switch to the Premier League will greatly appeal to him, but we’ll see what happens in the last 36 hours of the window.
