Charles Watts has shared that Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is ‘certainly’ on Arsenal’s transfer radar, as he told his own YouTube channel.
The Arsenal-based journalist has also claimed that Calvert-Lewin has ‘changed agents’, as he looks for a move away from Goodison Park.
That’s not what the Everton faithful will want to hear about their star striker, who has only played three Premier League games this season because of injury.
There will be some who will question why the England hitman will want to swap Goodison Park for the Emirates.
Perhaps when the North London club were in the Champions League a move would be understandable, but not now with their current uncertainties.
But Watts shared that Arsenal getting into Europe this term would make them a far more ‘attractive’ proposition for a player of his ilk.
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a player absolutely linked with Arsenal,” said Watts. “He’s going to be an interesting one.
“He has recently changed agents. I think he will be looking for a move. He has been at Everton for about five years now.
“He’s at a stage Calvert-Lewin where he has improved steadily in the last few seasons. I think he would want to take the next step.
“Now, a lot of Everton fans would look at Arsenal and say ‘Are Arsenal the next step?’ But let’s face it, Arsenal are a bigger club than Everton and they have the London pull. If they get themselves into Europe, then they might look like an attractive option to Calvert-Lewin.
“He’s certainly a player Arsenal are looking at. He fits the bill. He fits the profile. He fits the age range. He is the exact type of player Arsenal are looking at.”

Arsenal are having a number of issues with their forwards, no more so than their own captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
There could be the possibility that all three of Arsenal’s strikers head for the exit door during the next two transfer windows.
Eddie Nketiah’s contract is up next summer, and it doesn’t look like he is going to sign, as Alexandre Lacazette is in that same boat.
Even if one or two leave, it just increases the chances of another striker coming in and Mikel Arteta needing a new face up top.
