Leicester City’s Christian Fuchs celebrates after the game
Leicester City produced a stunning turnaround in their Champions League tie to beat Sevilla 3-2.
Sevilla had been 2-0 up in the first leg before a Jamie Vardy goal gave them a lifeline at 2-1 to take back to the King Power Stadium.
Last night’s match had it all, with missed penalties, red cards, and two goals for the Foxes.
Leicester are now into the last four of the Champions League, just don’t tell Paul Merson.
Leicester City fans
The SkySports pundit said ahead of the first leg that Leicester should forget about the competition, as they had no chance of going through.
Here is a look at what he told SkySports when asked if he fancied Leicester to beat Sevilla.
He said: “No, not in the slightest. If I were them I would be concentrating on the Premier League, because I’d be majorly shocked if they went through over two legs against Seville. Majorly shocked. They’d be lucky if they came back from there with the second leg.”

Predicting matches is a near impossible task, granted, but Leicester fans who saw Merson repeatedly write off their title challenge last season will surely raise a smile at listening back to another failed guess from the former Arsenal midfielder.
