Some Newcastle United fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Callum Wilson against Everton.
The England international was back to his very best against the Toffees, scoring both of the Magpies’ goals as they ran out 2-0 winners.
This will be a vital three points for the Tyneside outfit as they continue their quest to stave off relegation, and once again, the man Steve Bruce has to thank is Wilson.
The striker is proving to be one of the signings of the season, with his goals single-handedly keeping Newcastle’s heads above water, and the game at Goodison Park perfectly encapsulated what he’s about.
Indeed, his two goals were the epitome of perfect centre-forward play, the first a bullet header from a corner, and the second a late one on one slotted ast Jordan Pickford.
If it weren’t for the post, Wilson could have had a hat-trick, rounding Pickford just before his second goal, but squandering his opportunity.
Understandably, his performance sparked wild reaction on social media.
