Richarlison fired back at a Liverpool fan on Twitter for claiming that he doesn’t think people in Brazil ‘have a clue’ as to who Everton are.

That response from the Liverpool fan came after Richarlison pleaded to his club to ‘start selling’ shirts in his home country because they ‘love our shirt and our club’.

It has been a frosty week in Merseyside following the seemingly season-ending injury to Virgil van Dijk and Richarlison’s own tackle on Thiago.

There’s no love lost between Everton and Liverpool as it is and last week’s Merseyside derby didn’t exactly make things any better.

It will be interesting to see where Everton are in a few months time and whether the current leaders can surprise a lot of people by challenging their neighbours for the title.

Carlo Ancelotti has recruited well this summer, including the purchase of a highly-rated Brazilian in Allan from Napoli.

Whilst a certain James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are rightly taking the headlines, a certain Allan is going under the radar as the pac-man-like midfielder, who is sweeping up everything in front of him.

But Allan has just added to the quality of players from Brazil on Merseyside now, with Roberto Firmino and Alisson playing on the red side.
