Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after hearing reports that Oliver Casey could be on his way to Blackpool this summer.
Blackpool have just been promoted from League One and are looking to bolster their squad ahead of a Championship campaign, and one man they have their eye on is Leeds’ Casey.
Casey is undoubtedly a talented player, he had a starring role in the Whites’ U23s’ triumph in the PL2 this season, so it’s no surprise to hear that Blackpool want him.
Understandably, these rumours have sparked something of a reaction amongst the fanbase, and it’s fair to say that Leeds fans don’t want to see him leave, at least not on a permanent deal.
Casey seems like a prospect, so letting him go permanently could prove to be a mistake, and while he hasn’t broken into the first-team yet, he still has a lot of room to grow.
One fan even compared him to former Whites loanee Ben White, who didn’t break into the Brighton side until he was given a chance to star out on loan at Leeds, and many Whites supporters believe he should be given the same treatment.
