TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor has said that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is not an outstanding player, noting that Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard has scored more goals than him.

The former Aston Villa striker has noted that Odegaard has scored more goals for Arsenal this season.

The 24-year-old Norway international attacking midfielder has scored 14 goals and given seven assists in 33 Premier League matches for the Gunners this season.

Odegaard has scored 22 goals and created 20 big chances in 83 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Gabriel Agbonlahor on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount

Agbonlahor said about Mount: “He has scored 27 goals in 129 appearances. He is not fantastic, is he? He is not. The stats show that he is not. He is an okay player, but he is not outstanding.”

The pundit added: “Look at Arsenal. Odegaard has got 14 goals this season. Mason Mount has scored 27 in 129 games.

“He is not adding enough to the team to warrant £200,000-a-week new contract. He is not doing enough to warrant a new contract.”
