Leeds face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Andy Lonergan has claimed that the Leeds United squad has been “flying” in training under new manager Paul Heckingbottom ahead of the Whites clash against Sheffield United.
The Yorkshire giants travel to Bramall Lane to face Chris Wilder’s side in a lunchtime kick-off, as Heckingbottom prepares his side his match in charge after replacing Thomas Christiansen at the helm.

Leeds will be looking to exact revenge on the Blades after suffering a 2-1 loss to their bitter rivals earlier in the season, which saw Billy Sharp and David Brooks cancel out Kalvin Phillips’ equaliser.
Lonergan posted on his Twitter account ahead of the match, stating that Leeds are “ready to show what we can do” as they look to end a winless run of seven matches which ultimately saw Christiansen relieved of his duties.
Lonergan remains second choice goalkeeper at Elland Road behind German Felix Wiedwald, but Heckingbottom could spring a tactical surprise and hand the summer signing a chance to shine between the sticks on Saturday.
Wiedwald has conceded eight goals in his last three games, with Millwall and Cardiff both smashing four past the former Werder Bremen stopper while gaining a clean sheet against Hull.
Way back in tenth, Leeds fans will be hoping Heckingbottom can turn his new side’s fortunes around and fans reacted to Lonergan’s tweet in equally as positive manner.
