Clinton Morrison has told Sky Sports News on Thursday morning that he would ‘love’ Nuno Espirito Santo to join Crystal Palace instead of Everton.

The 47-year-old, who left Wolves at the end of the season, has seen his name touted with a number of managerial vacancies in the Premier League, including Palace and Everton.

Whilst Palace perhaps expected Roy Hodgson’s departure this summer, those on Merseyside were left in shock when Real Madrid knocked for Carlo Ancelotti this week.

It now means that Wolves, Palace, Everton, Spurs and even Celtic in Scotland are all looking for new coaches.

And ex-Palace striker, Morrison, shared that ‘London is the best city’, as he urged Nuno to head towards the capital rather than Merseyside.

“I think if Nuno’s available then I think you go and get Nuno,” said Morrison. “I think he did a terrific job at Wolves. I think he’s a brilliant manager and he would be the right man with Palace.

On who which club Nuno’s better suited to, Everton or Palace: “You know what I am going to say. I live in South London. London is the best city, isn’t it? Everyone wants to live in London.

“Listen, Everton are a huge football club, they are a massive club and Ancelotti did a brilliant job. But it’s very difficult when a club like Real Madrid come knocking.

“Whoever goes into it’s a huge club. They have a great fanbase and they have a lot of good players. It’s a hard one because someone like Nuno would be brilliant for Everton – but in my heart to heart, I would love Nuno at Palace.”

Of course, Nuno isn’t the only coach available on the market and without a club, at this moment in time.

Antonio Conte recently left Inter, Eddie Howe has been out of a job since leaving Bournemouth last summer, whilst Frank Lampard could be a left-field pick for someone after he was sacked by Chelsea in December.

Either way, several Premier League clubs may now have a fight on their hands, especially if any two of them gun for the same coach.
