It seems like Arsenal finally have some good news regarding their players’ contracts. The Gunners were at the risk of losing three players this summer as they entered the final year of their contracts.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Folarin Balogun and Bukayo Saka were attracting interest from elsewhere which struck fear in Arsenal fans’ hearts.
Thankfully though, Arsenal have managed to resolve one player’s contract situation. Saka took to Twitter today to confirm that he has penned a new deal with the club which will keep him at the Emirates for the foreseeable future.
That is incredible news for everyone associated with the club. Losing any good player is painful but losing someone who has come through the ranks hurts a lot more.
Saka has been a revelation this season. The teenager burst onto the scene under Unai Emery and hasn’t looked back since. Saka has three goals and 10 assists to his name already this term.
The youngster has been used in a whole bunch of positions and he has performed exceedingly well in each of his different roles.
Saka has played all four games since the Premier League returned, and he has featured in four different positions in that time. Apart from the game against Manchester City, he has been Arsenal’s best player since Project Restart.
It was a priority for Arsenal to keep hold of Saka and they have done it. Arsenal fans were delighted with Saka’s tweet where he called Arsenal – ‘my team’.
