Brentford have identified AFC Wimbledon’s Nesta Guinness-Walker as the man to replace reported Leeds United, Aston Villa and West Ham target Rico Henry, according to TEAMtalk.

The Bees might have little choice but to watch their first-choice left-back follow Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins out the door. But absolutely no one in West London is panicking just yet.

After all, Brentford are the masters when it comes to selling on star players for a massive profit before replacing them with another unpolished diamond.

Henry himself arrived as an unproven, fresh-faced youngster from the third tier before establishing himself as one of the finest full-backs at Championship level.

According to TEAMtalk, 20-year-old Guinness-Walker could soon be following in his footsteps with Brentford battling Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers for a one-time Chelsea and Tottenham trainee turning heads at Wimbledon.

The great grandson of acting legend Sir Alec Guinness, he would hardly be a blockbuster signing. But that matters not to a Brentford team more interested in indie projects that Hollywood additions.

The Mail claimed in August that £5 million Henry has admirers at West Ham, Brighton and a Leeds side who’s only natural, senior left-back is the error-prone Barry Douglas.

Aston Villa are interested too with Dean Smith keen to reunite with his former Walsall and Brentford starlet – a man he once compared to the great Ashley Cole (BBC Sport).
