The Reds winger was substituted on 65 minutes in the 4-2 win over Leeds and some Forest fans told him off for not coming off sooner.

Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley has been urged by some Reds fans to rest up following his dynamic display in the Championship win over Leeds United on New Year’s Day.
The 26-year-old has been a revelation for his club this season, scoring six goals and claiming eight assists in just 25 league appearances – according to Transfermarkt – which have helped keep Forest in the playoff hunt.

Lolley was then substituted on 65 minutes, with Ben Osborn taking his place, and luckily for Forest, their star man’s substitution did not hamper their in-game efforts as they went on to score three goals – including one from the sub – en route to a 4-2 triumph over the league leaders.
The former Huddersfield man took to Twitter after the game to praise Forest’s victory as well as hail Osborn for the goal which capped off a great win for Aitor Karanka’s side:

Some Reds fans replied to their talisman and, as well as praising his efforts in the game, also expressed concern over his knock and even told him off for playing on through the pain:
