Logan Paul has built a reputation on being outspoken, often delivering bold takes that divide opinion across sport and entertainment. That reputation has only grown since his transition into WWE.

The American is now the World Tag Team Champion, firmly embedded at the top of sports entertainment. Given that status, many would expect him to favour WWE’s biggest stage above all others.

Yet when asked to choose between WrestleMania and the World Cup, Paul went against that expectation. His answer quickly stood out, especially given the timing around WWE’s biggest weekend.

Instead of backing his own industry, Paul made it clear that there is no debate regarding the World Cup.

Paul did not hesitate when giving his verdict, making it clear he sees the football event  as the superior one.

He told SPORTbible: “The World Cup. What are you talking about, bro? That’s just facts, bro. I’m not going to sit here and be like ‘Oh, WrestleMania.’”

Despite that, he still acknowledged the scale of WWE’s shows, especially with WrestleMania 42 taking place in Las Vegas this weekend.

“Although it’s awesome, it’s our Super Bowl. We’re playing in Allegiant Stadium, the biggest, best stadium of all time. But no, bro, it’s the World Cup,” Paul stated.

Why Logan Paul is right about the global scale

Paul’s stance aligns with the numbers behind global viewership.

For instance, according to Statista, the 2022 World Cup final reached over 1.4 billion viewers worldwide, dwarfing other sporting events.

The same data show the Super Bowl, often considered the biggest US event, draws a far smaller global audience. In 2025, it had just over 180 million viewers worldwide.
