West Ham United have made a poor start to the season under Manuel Pellegrini.

Loaning out Reece Oxford would be a bizarre move for West Ham United to make now.
However, that could be a transfer decision which the West Ham boss lives to regret.
The Hammers have made an awful start to the new campaign, with their defensive options not exactly looking sturdy.
Fabian Balbuena has started alongside Angelo Ogbonna recently, but the new signing has struggled to cope with Premier League football so far.
Issa Diop was also brought to West Ham for big money, but he had a difficult pre-season.

Beyond that, Pellegrini’s options at centre-back are short, unless he drops Declan Rice back into the defence.
And getting rid of Oxford could, therefore, be inadvisable – as he could prove to be a solid option as the season progresses.
Oxford has experience of English football and has caught the eye in the top tier before as a youngster.
Letting him go may enable Oxford to get more first-team football, but West Ham may actually be wise keeping him around, as he could be needed if Pellegrini’s side’s form doesn’t improve.
