Rangers boss Steven Gerrard loaned out the 25-year-old after he fell down the pecking order at Ibrox.

The loaned out Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick is continuing to make a positive impression away from Ibrox.
Borrowed by Scunthorpe United in August, where he linked up with a former Rangers player and manager in Stuart McCall, Alnwick was an almost unanimous choice for man of the match in Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie against Burton Albion.
The Iron took a two-goal lead into half-time, but it was the Rangers owned player who had arguably the biggest impact on securing the win, making a string of saves after the Brewers halved the deficit through Liam Boyce.
This is what the home fans had to say about Alnwick’s display afterwards…
And even Scunthorpe’s match sponsors agreed upon Alnwick as their man of the match…
Alnwick is due to return to Rangers in January, but with Allan McGregor, Wes Foderingham and Robby McCrorie already on the books at Ibrox, a renewal is certainly possible for Scunny.
It is possible, however, that the 25-year-old’s form may alert higher positioned clubs to his availability.

Should Rangers allow Alnwick to remain at Glanford Park?
